ok, it is possible that you find a nasty bug...
(using /dev/disk/uuid path seems to be not working).
Try this (replace <LUKS_device> and <backup_file> appropriately):
1) backup current (invalidated) header to some file (just to be sure)
dd if=<LUKS_device> of=<backup_file> bs=512 count=2056
2) recover magic string
echo -n -e 'LUKS\xba\xbe' | dd of=<LUKS_device> bs=1 seek=0 conv=notrunc
and try to luksDump it, then luksOpen.
